Illinois Speed Awareness Day

Dedicated to Making Illinois a Safer Place to Travel

 Award Winning Agencies

The ILACP would like to thank all of the agencies that participated in and helped to make successful, the 2nd annual Illinois Speed Awareness Day (ISAD) campaign.  In addition, the ILACP would like to thank it’s partner, FACES4, and the following sponsors:

• American Traffic Solutions

• AAA The Auto Club Group

• Stalker Radar (Applied Concepts, Inc.)

Please see the attached press release for the ISAD campaign results.  Without the partnership of FACES4, the aforementioned sponsors, and all the law enforcement agencies that participated, the campaign would not have been a success.  By combining efforts with the same goal of saving lives and making the roadways within Illinois safer, both the public and private sector have proven that by working together, this mission can be accomplished.  The ILACP looks forward to conducting ISAD in 2018 with the hopes of gaining more participation every year.

The following agencies have been recognized for exemplary performance by the ILACP Traffic Safety Committee during the ISAD campaign:

• Illinois State Police

• Lake County Sheriff’s Department

• Lombard Police Department

• Normal Police Department

• Plainfield Police Department

• Elwood Police Department

In addition, all participating agencies were put in a drawing to receive an in car radar system, generously donated by Stalker Radar (Applied Concepts, Inc.)  The agency drawn to receive the Stalker radar system was the East Hazel Crest Police Department.

Thanks again for you participation, and we hope to see you in 2018!
